What documents are needed for Executive MBA application
- Experience proof: Employment certificate / letter from HR on company letterhead stating joining date, designation, current CTC
- Academic documents: 10th, 12th, graduation marksheets and degree certificate
- ID proof: Aadhaar / PAN / Passport
- Entrance score: CAT scorecard / GMAT scorecard (if required by programme)
- SOP / Statement of Purpose: Required by XLRI, ISB, MDI — typically 400–600 words on career goals
- LOR (Letters of Recommendation): Required by ISB (2 letters), XLRI (2 letters), optional for IIM certificates
Can I do Executive MBA without CAT?
Yes — the majority of IIM executive programmes do NOT require CAT. Only the IIM Nagpur Blended MBA (full degree programme) requires CAT or GMAT. All executive certificate programmes from IIM Kozhikode, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Indore, IIM Trichy, and XLRI CXO are application-based with experience as the primary criteria. If you have 5+ years experience but don't have a CAT score, the IIM Kozhikode New Age Management Programme is the strongest IIM credential available without any entrance exam.
